About this piece

Satyajit Ray’s Tarini Khuro, the bachelor storyteller of Beniatola Lane, settled on his mat with a shawl over his shoulders and the evening’s tale just beginning. Hurricane lantern on the books, binoculars and an old map by his feet, the black cat curled up beside the brass glass. Hand-cast in resin, engraved brass-look plate on the plinth.

How it is made

Each Tarini Khuro is 3D modelled, printed in resin at the size you choose, cleaned, cured, and then hand-painted one piece at a time in our Kolkata studio. Because the colour is laid on by hand, no two pieces are identical.
