About this piece

Bibhutibhushan’s Taranath, the tantrik of Mott Lane, in the years before the stories were told over tea: matted hair, red-rimmed eyes, seated on the stones of the shamshan with his hand on a skull. The trishul with its red cloth and bell, the brass kamandal, the bound manuscripts and a hibiscus at his feet. Hand-cast in resin, brass-look plate with swastik and skull on the plinth.

How it is made

Each Taranath Tantrik is 3D modelled, printed in resin at the size you choose, cleaned, cured, and then hand-painted one piece at a time in our Kolkata studio. Because the colour is laid on by hand, no two pieces are identical.
