About this piece

Raja Roychowdhury, Sunil Gangopadhyay’s Kakababu: the retired archaeologist who never retired from adventure. Standing firm on his cane, safari jacket and shoulder bag on, revolver raised — the way Santu has seen him a hundred times on the way to some ruin. Hand-cast in resin, brass-look KAKA BABU plate on the plinth.

How it is made

Each Kakababu is 3D modelled, printed in resin at the size you choose, cleaned, cured, and then hand-painted one piece at a time in our Kolkata studio. Because the colour is laid on by hand, no two pieces are identical.
