About this piece

Premendra Mitra’s Parashar Barma, the poet who solves crimes between verses: tweed jacket, red shawl, pipe in hand, a book of poems open on his knee, feet up in the cane-backed chair. The black cat at his side, quills and a magnifying glass on the papers, books marked Crime · Poetry · Observation · Intuition. Hand-cast in resin, brass-look plate on the plinth.

How it is made

Each Parashar Barma is 3D modelled, printed in resin at the size you choose, cleaned, cured, and then hand-painted one piece at a time in our Kolkata studio. Because the colour is laid on by hand, no two pieces are identical.
