About this piece

Premendra Mitra’s Ghanashyam Das — Ghanada — the long-legged boarder of 72 Banamali Naskar Lane who has saved the world more times than anyone can count, always between a singara and a smoke. Books marked Africa · Amazon · Antarctica · Tibet · Mars stacked by the globe, his travel-stickered bag, binoculars and rolled maps under the table. Hand-cast in resin, brass-look ঘনাদা · GHANADA plate on the plinth.

How it is made

Each Ghanada is 3D modelled, printed in resin at the size you choose, cleaned, cured, and then hand-painted one piece at a time in our Kolkata studio. Because the colour is laid on by hand, no two pieces are identical.
