About this piece

Maa Durga as the pujo pandal knows her — the sabeki face with wide chokkhu daan eyes, ten arms holding trishul, chakra, shankha, dhanuk, gada and padma, one foot on the lion and the spear driven into Mahishasura. The white daaker saj crown and ornaments are worked in fine relief against black hair, with the red-bordered white saree falling over a black and gold plinth. Hand-cast in resin and hand-painted, made for the thakur dalan at home.

How it is made

Each Maa Durga is 3D modelled, printed in resin at the size you choose, cleaned, cured, and then hand-painted one piece at a time in our Kolkata studio. Because the colour is laid on by hand, no two pieces are identical.
